Financial Plans

I have thought through pricing, and estimated what it would cost to get the top-notch bikes and bike supplies/clothing for both Timothy and I. I also plugged in what it would cost for 3 months of food at $20 daily(each), and motels at $35 a night for 3 months. I plugged in the prices for all of the supplies we need at max prices, and came up with a sum of $13,591. Of course we are most likely going to cut out less important things from the list, and get deals and cheaper products, but we GOAL for the best, and we'll take what we get in the end.

Route Official.

The route which is seen in my last blog post has been looked over by Timothy, and has been made official.

I made the point of not staying in Nevada too long, as it's not a good place to be stuck in the heat of summer.

Other news:

Timothy Cole and Mitch Eichblatt plan to Go Vertical in 2011 aswell as Mitch Eichblatt in 2008.

Plans are going great, and communication is improving.

Waiting for Timothy's feedback on route.

I have planned a new route. It is set to go through key cities of importance, such as Washington D.C., Chicago, New York, etc...

I will email Timothy, and I will need his confirmation to make this route official.

Mitch Eichblatt Going Vertical November 9, 2008

Hey folks, this is Mitch. I've signed up for the Go Vertical 2008 fundraiser for cancer in Chicago, IL. The Go Vertical fundraiser is a stair climbing event in which 2250 participants will climb the stairwells to the top of the Sears Tower, which is currently the tallest building in the United States. I'll be 15 years old when I climb the tower, and it'll be a heck of a story to tell.

I was inspired by an episode of Kenan & Kel that I was watching a friday night after school. Kenan wanted to declare his love for a girl named Brianna, and decided to hang a banner off the Sears Tower declaring his love for her. The idea came to me that I'd love to be at the top of that building, and I looked into it. I found out about Go Vertical 2008 and decided that I was going to do it, if it kills me.
